Stress, Anxiety & Resilience

When life feels overwhelming, there is a way forward.

Anxiety, chronic stress, and difficult experiences can leave your mind racing and your body constantly on alert.

You don't have to keep navigating that alone. Together, we can make sense of what's happening and develop practical ways to feel more grounded in everyday life.

Does this sound familiar?

When stress begins to take up too much space.

Stress can show up in many ways, including ones that are easy to overlook.

Your mind keeps racing, anticipating, or replaying conversations.

You feel tense, on edge, or unable to truly rest.

Old experiences or patterns seem to shape how you respond today.

You're exhausted from holding everything together for everyone else.

Whatever brings you here, we can begin with what matters most to you.

What we can work on

Practical support. Meaningful change.

Our work can be gentle, focused, and tailored to your circumstances—not another thing you have to get right.

Calm the stress response

Build simple skills to recognize tension, settle your nervous system, and find moments of steadiness.

Respond with more freedom

Notice unhelpful patterns, relate differently to anxious thoughts, and practice new ways of responding.

Build resilience

Reconnect with relationships, routines, and inner resources that support recovery and lasting well-being.

A whole-person approach

Understand what's happening. Find what helps.

I'm Lee Michael Vance, PsyD, ACC. My coaching draws on psychology, mindfulness, and body-based awareness to help people navigate challenging life experiences with greater clarity and choice.

Stress isn't only something we think about. It can affect how we sleep, connect with others, experience our bodies, and move through the day. I approach these experiences with compassionate curiosity, practical tools, and respect for your own wisdom.

Our conversations are collaborative. We begin where you are and focus on what might genuinely support you—not a rigid formula or a promise of a quick fix.

  • Recognize the signals and patterns of your stress response.
  • Practice grounding, mindful awareness, and regulation skills.
  • Explore habits, boundaries, and relationships that affect well-being.
  • Build a more sustainable sense of steadiness and resilience.

My Foundational Belief

"
Humans aren’t broken. Bones break. Systems break. Communication breaks. Understanding breaks. We are pained, but not broken. We are shaped by habits, but not defined by them. If you’re breathing right now, nothing is broken.
The best therapy, the best science, and the best of religion return us to this truth: we are already whole—and from here, healing unfolds.”
